On the BFM Radio: “Parks, A Source of Joy”

On Day 1 of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic on 18 March 2020, I was interviewed by Sim Wie Boon from BFM Radio 89.9 to share about the importance of recreational parks to cities. During the MCO, park is one of the outdoor places that all of us now have to put on hold from visiting, apart from going to work or uni, cinemas, and unfortunately, we are also restricted from visiting our family members for the time being. Perhaps this is the time for nature in the parks to also heal and just let the birds and insects roam freely.

The interview session was aired on Friday, at 20 March 2020, at 9:35 AM, and you can now listen to it via BFM’s Podcast. In the interview, I shared about what makes a recreational park, why it is important for cities to have parks, what are the different types of parks, and the challenges in sustaining a park.

Happy listening 🙂
